I managed to get my Fink system into the same error after running `fink 
install ghc-text` like you did. This worked to get ghc-text cleanly 
installed:

fink list ghc-text (now shows 'i' at the front)
fink remove ghc-text (uninstalls without any errors)
fink install ghc-text (installs cleanly without any errors)
