BTW, the error is: % sudo nmap -O 192.168.0.1 Starting Nmap 7.70 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2021-01-17 08:47 PST Assertion failed: (res > 7), function nsock_library_initialize, file nsock_pool.c, line 307 Googling for the error shows it's been fixed, and that's why I updated.
