Hard to know with just that detail.

1) What's the output of `fink list -t evince` ? You should have 
`2.22.2-8` available, which is the evince revision that no longer needs 
texlive.

2) If the above is good, make sure you're only trying to install evince 
to minimize what needs to be installed (don't use `fink update-all`). 
There's always the chance that some thing else in the evince dependency 
tree is itself trying to install texlive.

3) Pick (1) when asked to about texlive variants, and then Fink will 
finish running through the dependency check and print out all the 
secondary packages that need to be built and installed. You can kill the 
build (ctrl-c) before anything actually gets installed and post the list 
here. That will help in tracking down who wants texlive.
