If you go into the directory where you did the original `./bootstrap` to install my patched tree, run `git pull` to get the latest patches, then run `./inject.pl` to update your installed Fink in /opt/sw3. Once that's done, Fink should know to look for perl5.30 (and not perl5.30.2) with macOS 11.3. >> Hanspeter, >> Is there a chance, timeline to get these merged into the master? Unfortunately, if you have a previous (non dpkg1.16) Fink install and update to the current dpkg1.16 branch, the dpkg database gets corrupted and Fink ceases to work. > > A clean install of a new Fink using the dpkg1.16 branch (what you've checked out) works perfectly fine. The internals of the dpkg database are beyond me at the moment.
