Re: Is there an option similar to "make -I" in fink

I am not aware of any such parameter, but I hate it when I tries to install 5-10 packages and one of them have a dependency that fails in some way or the other. I then have to try the other packages one by one to see if any of them have a dependency on the failing package. In those cases I’ve started to use the following script, it is quite some years since I used it last since I am on Big Sur and has stopped using fink until it supports the latest macOS versions fully. It depends on the graphviz package for the ”dot" command.

#! /bin/bash
TMPDOT=/tmp/fink.dot
PDF=${HOME}/Desktop/fink.pdf
fink list --format=dotty ”$1" > "$TMPDOT"
dot -Tpdf "$TMPDOT" -o "$PDF"


It gives a nice tree for the package that is fed to it, which can be analysed to see if the failing package is included.
