Thank you. The editing of the /opt/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/gnome/glib2-shlibs.info worked to use /usr/local/bin/python. I installed python2 from python.org <http://python.org/> to get a version in /usr/local/bin. I could not get the fink version to install at this point in my installation. My goal was all to get xpdf installed. In addition to the issue with python2, I was also getting errors about pkgconfig being out of date. After getting glib2 to compile, I could get pkgconfig to compile and then all other dependent packages installed. Thanks again, Joe > On Aug 31, 2022, at 4:34 AM, Hanspeter Niederstrasser <[email protected]> wrote: > > On 8/30/22 1:12 AM, Joe Borzellino via Fink-users wrote: >> Ok, I solved that problem by just deleting my fink installation and bootstrapping the-sin version. >> Now I have the following problem which seems to be related to the fact that on Monterey 12.5.1 there is no python in /usr/bin, so I get the error below when trying to install glib2-shlibs. I tried to solve this myself by installing a version of python2 in /usr/local/bin but no luck so far.
