Trying to re-install fink and rebuild a bunch of pkgs. Intel x86 Ventura 13.4.1. Is this a problem with the switch to ppkg-config from pkg-config? ppkg-config (0.25026-1) is installed. But there is no peg-config command which seems to be the issue. I also notice a lot of source packages that are reported as corrupted on the finkdists network but download fine from the original source URL. I don’t have a list since I wasn’t saving error output. -Scott checking for a usable iconv... libiconv checking for FREETYPE... no configure: error: in `/opt/sw/src/fink.build/fontconfig2-dev-2.14.2-1/fontconfig-2.14.2': configure: error: The pkg-config script could not be found or is too old. Make sure it is in your PATH or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable to the full path to pkg-config. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables FREETYPE_CFLAGS and FREETYPE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. To get pkg-config, see <http://pkg-config.freedesktop.org/>. If you continue to have issues, please check to see if the FAQ on Fink's website solves the problem. If not, ask on one (not both, please) of these mailing lists: The Fink Users List <[email protected]> The Fink Beginners List <[email protected]>.
