To make a long story short, I managed to install a different package [[https://github.com/alperakcan/fuse-ext2][fuse-ext2]] It says ext2, but it supports ext2, ext3, and ext4 even with write access, but that I did not dare to try. There is a script provided for MaC, that seems to install all tools needed for compiling ext2, directly from the gnu server and does not need to have fink, or macports or homebrew installed. It worked for me for BigSur, but I have seen complains for newer MacOS on the issue section. I am now able to pass files from Linux to MaC without problems (at least for the moment), since hfs+ support from the Linux side leads to file-system corruption after a while -- I strongly condemn Hamas heinous despicable pogroms/atrocities on Israel I strongly condemn Putin's war of aggression against Ukraine. I support to deliver weapons to Ukraine's military. I support the EU and NATO membership of Ukraine. _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [email protected] List archive: https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/mailman/fink-users/ Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
