Updating fink on an old MacBook Pro --not successful

Hi there,
Happy holidays. Been trying to update fink on an
old mac pro (circa late 2011, macOS High Sierra,
version 10.13.6). Fink has not been updated in a long
time on this system.
Unfortunately after trying multiple (3 times) 'fink selfupdate'
followed by 'fink update-all', the update failed. I cut and
pasted part of what I got below. Would appreciate any
help/suggestions/guidance. Many thanks.
