Giuliano, I stopped and tested this. “fink configure” does not update the distribution field in in the /opt/sw/etc/fink.conf file. So you will have to edit the file manually and set the distribution. You should also symbolically link /opt/sw2/fink/ so that the correct links are there. I notice that you have multiple versions installed and hence using /opt/sw2 rather than /opt/sw. You might want to figure out which version is correct for your system. the following should update your fink installation: mkdir -p ~/src cd src git clone https://github.com/fink/fink fink-upstream cd fink-upstream git pull (optional?) sudo cp perlmod/Fink/Services.pm /opt/sw/lib/perl5/Fink/Services.pm ./inject.pl -Scott > Did “fink configure” change the distribution in the /opt/sw/etc/fink.conf file? > > -Scott > > On Apr 3, 2025, at 10:59, Franchetti, Giuliano Dr. <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi Scott, > > I run fink configure, but now it gets worse > > Giuliano > > giuliano@strmac001:/Users/giuliano/Desktop> > giuliano@strmac001:/Users/giuliano/Desktop> fink selfupdate > 14.7 does not match the expected value of 14.6. Please run `fink selfupdate` to download a newer version of fink at /opt/sw2/lib/perl5/Fink/Services.pm line 1450. > giuliano@strmac001:/Users/giuliano/Desktop> > _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [email protected] List archive: https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/mailman/fink-users/ Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
