Sounds right.  I removed the recode-shlibs and fink listed no dependencies.  This is sort of an orphan dependency.  Someday I will try to parse the installed dependencies and see if I can get a routine that will list the top level installs and the orphan dependencies.

The ignore would be nice but a bit cumbersome to figure out which packages are no-longer needed. However, a fink command line option to set the number of MaxBuildJobs would be helpful for debugging instead of calling configure to set it to one and then again to set it back.
