My guess = is that it is left over after an upgrade from some previous installation = or something. I suggest you delete the file and try again which is what = git is telling you. I don=E2=80=99t thing Time Machine backs up /opt directory where fink = stores things so that may not be much help. But YMMV. You can check = your backups if it matters.
