One list is enough.) (Provides has a special meaning in a Debian-style packaging system. libgda is in the "family" of these two .info files in fink's nomenclature) (This would be in the unstable tree) That's not really necessary. As the situation stands, we have: libgda, libgda4-dev and libgda4-shlibs from the older libgda-3.1.5.info libgda, libgda4.0.4-dev and libgda4.0.4-shlibs from the newer libgda.info libgda-3.1.5 is still accessible to fink: fink dumpinfo -fallversions libgda Information about 9155 packages read in 2 seconds. allversions: 3.1.5-3 b 3.1.5-5 4.0.2-2 (3.1.5-3 is the stable tree's libgda) and one can install it, if needed via fink install libgda-3.1.5-5 So we _could_ get rid of the 'libgda' package in 3.1.5-5, but it's not really necessary. -- Alexander Hansen Fink User Liaison ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
