My hack is necessary because the real pkg-config programme has built- =

in an incomplete search path (extracted with strings):

	/sw/lib/pkgconfig:/sw/share/pkgconfig:/usr/X11/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/ =

X11R6/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/lib/pkgconfig

Xorg-macros.pc can be found here (or /opt/local/share/pkgconfig):

	pete 267 /\ l /usr/X11/share/pkgconfig
	total 40
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 215 18 M=E4r 02:40 xbitmaps.pc
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 178 18 M=E4r 02:58 xkeyboard-config.pc
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 402 17 M=E4r 23:46 xorg-macros.pc
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 177 17 M=E4r 23:46 xorg-sgml-doctools.pc
	-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 235 18 M=E4r 01:13 xtrans.pc
