gtk+2 update

Dear Gnome-Core folks:

Is there any chance of a gtk+2 update?  I need 2.24.32 or newer (which macports has) as a dependency for coot (which I am trying to update as maintainer).

If someone has an experimental one, I would be happy to try it out.
