It limits the sideways scrolling to the over-wide passages. The
original had the whole page wide (every line of the whole body). This
is efinitely an improvement IMO, and can't beat the ease of
implementation. OTOH, I think there's a place where we have a long URL
written out in the body text, which also doesn't break, which should
be rewritten as a simple label with the full URL only in the <a> tag.
