Date become crazy on footer

Maybe I've missed some steps in updating news.fr.xml, but it was good  
yesterday (I mean the footer date was May 15th 2005 updated by me on  
French page). And today it is February 01, 2005 updated by me on  
French page and November 14th, 2004 updated by me??? on English page.

I see that there is a need to update also sancho in some  
circumstances, which I don't know which ones. Does it apply for news?  
And in this case how should the loggin be done?
