Strange behaviour when dealing with news

Hi,

When executing make && make install in xml/news, the whole contents  
of all xml files are dumped to the terminal.

I wonder if this is a new behaviour, or if something goes wrong  
without my knowledge (no warning, no error issued).

Any idea about this.
