Although I may not be part of the core team, but I think that the
decision of which database to use along with which codebase the sites
should use is up to the core member in charge of the technical aspect of
the team... along with the people helping out.

I personally don't think that the core team should be innundated with
votes on every little thing... or else we could end up the same way that
the FreeBSD core team has been over the past several months.

That's just my 0.01 USD.
