That was the point in coordinating this effort.  As I stated, we've got
bsdevents.org and bsdadvocacy.org.  I don't think you could get more
official than that. :-)

You're welcome to work on bsdportal.org, but to be honest I think you're
going to clash with all the other "official" BSD portals out there:
Daemon News, BSDToday, BSDVault, etc., unless you plan to offer
something radically different than the typical portal.  My $0.02.
