Im not a native english speaker, but doesnt "Campaign" have the same 
problem as "Project"? A campaign is usually only a limited amount of 
time and not something that will last forever. (Im not saying I expect 
the BSD Advocacy ..uh ..whatever to last forever, but you get my point)

"Network" is getting kind of old, everything is a network these days.

My vote is on group or perhaps resource. I was not seriously suggesting 
gang, I just mentioned it as an example.
