I agree.  But IIRC, the majority of the (3 or 4) people that expressed
an opinion agreed that it should be on Freenode.  There were some who
disagreed, hence the bot.

Personally, I don't see a reason for an IRC channel at all, apart from
being a means by which the site admins (Joshua and I) can coordinate
things, and even then we only use it rarely.  And IMO, developers would
be better served with a mailing list.

That being said, I'm not going to bother idling in there anymore.  And
I'll try to get a developer (and CVS) mailing list put together
soon. :-)
