Version 12.3.0-1 of "python-imaging" has been marked as stable.

python-imaging (aka Pillow) is a fork of the Python Imaging Library (PIL).

This update includes packages for Python 3.12 only, as Pillow no longer
supports Python 3.9.

This update provides the following packages:

python-imaging (the source package)

python-imaging-debuginfo

python312-imaging, python312-imaging-tk

This update brings a number of changes since the last version in Cygwin
(12.2.0), which you can read about here:
https://github.com/python-pillow/Pillow/releases. Please email me
directly about any issues to make sure I receive the email.

JPEG2000 and AVIF support doesn't seem to be compiling in for some
reason. I will solve those issues in a future update. Any feedback is
welcome.
