Thanks for this! Unfortunately, our bzip2 maintainer doesn't seem to be active at the moment. (I've sent him a (hopefully polite) email asking if he intends to return). In the meantime, I'll look into applying your patch and rebuilding this package, but... well, having the project depend on me to do this every time isn't very reliable and doesn't scale well... As an aside, can you mark mails like this with [PATCH bzip2], or something similar? [ITP] specifically means that you are offering a new package (See [1]). [1] https://cygwin.com/acronyms/
