I generally switch the system compiler only when GCC reaches the final
stage, that is x.4 (sometimes there will be an x.5 if there are still
important fixes coming late).

But you don't say what those are, if there's any switches they are
associated with and apparently you haven't reported them upstream.

Well, if you see it's fixed in 14.3.1 and you can identify the patch
responsible for it, then that fix could probably be backported.
Otherwise, 14.4 is going to be released around Juli this year if the
recent schedule is kept.

If it's our patches that's going to be fun, but an internal compiler
error is more likely to be caused upstream.
