The current version of the setup program, 2.850 (64 bit), on the "select packages" screen, features a "default" option. That's the answer I was looking for. Thank you. I have a further question. Choosing menu item "Cygwin-X / X Win Server" boots X windows. If you right click on the 'X' icon in the lower right side of the screen, it features applications xterm / emacs / notepad / xload. Is it possible to tailor the list of applications referenced above? to include say xclock, xeyes And yet another question; I note the presence of a number of files in \usr\bin which start with 'gnome'. Does Cygwin/x feature gnome or kde as user interfaces? or does it only allow compilation of apps which use features of those interfaces?
