This likely have a different cause.
Check if your /etc/ssl/certs is empty. If so,
try this command with elevated shell:

/usr/bin/trust extract --format=openssl-bundle --filter=certificates --overwrite --comment /etc/pki/ca-trust/extracted/openssl/ca-bundle.trust.crt
