There's a thread on questions@ asking for info to help block a software patent
re. CGI interface to [hyla]fax, 1993-95 era.  Why I mention it here :

 advocacy@ is quite lately.
 No freebsd list for patents & law etc.  
 Software patents are parasites that obstruct free software
 	http://www.berklix.com/~jhs/txt/patents/
 This is an opportunity where people who don't have programming skills
 can also contribute: web search skills more important.
