Hi all,

I personally feel that removing shar(1) is a good idea, or deprecating it for one release and then removing it.

No need to keep it around. I understand the "don't fix it if it isn't broken" mentality, but removing things that have practically no place makes sense to me. For the few who need it, ports is a great option.

At a minimum, it certainly shouldn't be recommended. It only has validity with very particular usecases.
