I saw you previously said that you would not really like to dig into 
Illumos code, but I exactly thought about it as a source of ideas about 
original Solaris attributes.  I am regularly going there myself when I 
need to understand some pre-ZoL concepts.  I've never had Illumos or 
Solaris installed though.
