To be clear: If we move forward, we'd remove the code. It does nobody any
good to have rotting code in the tree. That's why mips, sparc64 and alpha
have all been removed entirely. It's why we've torn down all the v6 and
earlier arm support. This removal would be after the stable/16 branch.
