It's OK "if there is a (personnel or group) maintainer".

But reading this thread, I think unlikely.
At least maintainer fitting it into ports framework changes
would be needed for the cases there are non trivial things
to do. And of course, chase related API changes on base side
that simple rebuilds doesn't work.

Glad to hear. Maybe you're building from ports, setting
all options off (including default-on things).
