Trouble with ports collection after installation

When I installed the FreeBSD 4.8 (custom instalation, selected: bin, =
manpages, ports and the source for kernel), I get an error message, when =
I`m trying to install something from the ports collection ( I don`t =
remember error message). Maybe I have selected not all required =
distributions? I don`t want to install one of predefined distribution, =
because hard disk is not very large.
