Should revision hashes match between hosts for -current?

Should revision hashes match between different hosts
if updated at the same time? I've four hosts tracking
-current, one arm64 and three armv7. They have wildly
different histories but I expected updates finished
at the same time would have the same revision hash.

It looks as if they do not.  Is something amiss?
