mtree: No such file or directory

Hello,

running recent CURRENT, FreeBSD 16.0-CURRENT #0 main-n287956-30ccf2f48c11: =
Wed Aug  5 09:54:38
CEST 2026 amd64, I realise a strange and/or unkown behaviour of mtree - out=
 of the sudden
(used regularily daily) since today's update:

mtree -c -i -j -n -k uname,gname,mode,nochange -p ../Files >Files.mtree.wrk
mtree: ./etc: No such file or directory

Sometimes it is ./bin which is missing.

"Files" is a folder used in nanobsd environment, containing some customized=
 files.

But you can see for yourself, using the above sketched command sequence of =
mtree, mtree always
bails out with some missing directory error.

Do I have missed something essential in changes of behaviour?
