text core analysis ddb script can't find the symbols

I have a kernel panic (separate post on this one) and I wonder
why the core.txt.4 file is missing some crucial informaton
such as kernel messages buffer:
dmesg: /boot/nvmekernel/kernel: msgbufp not found
I believe I have my freshly built kernel und userland in sync (1600019)
everything is based off 1c0d2f0b1a98526e4f1f5a051ce6904b4c3164e1
(I had to revert nvme change as suggested earlier on this list).
The only "strange" thing is that I boot /boot/nvmekernel, not the "usual" /boot/kernel
