But I was asking more to figure out if referencing/quoting such Discord
examples on some FreeBSD related list list was appropriate going
forward. If Discord's FreeBSD Kernel channel is well monitored, it would
be redundant to repost or reference; if not monitored, then it might be
reasonable to repost such a notice that was not obviously part of an
ongoing exchange with appropriate folks involved already.

There could be other Discord channels for which a similar question could
apply.
