I see the same hung with FreeBSD 12.1 (XigmaNAS ^2.1.0.4.7091) on an older
Supermicro X9SCV-Q with firmware AMI Bios 2.10.1208 from 2012.

The problem is occurs eratic: most cases the box hang at 

EFI framebuffer information:
addr, size          0xe0000000, 0x3ff0000
dimensions          800 x 600
stride              800
masks               0x00ff0000, 0x0000ff00, 0x000000ff, 0xff000000

in some rare cases the box boots.
