When I look at http://www.zefox.net/~fbsd/rpi2/ssh_drops_usb_serial I
see a file that is only 115 lines long, the last 2 blank. It starts
with:

[this is an older event than reported on 10/27/23 around 10 AM PDT]

and ends with (non-blank):

ucom_line_state: on=0x02, off=0x00
ucom_cfg_close:
