And that is exactly why FreeBSD support for many of these boards are dysfunctional, as soon as one gets it working a new bunch of DTS files are imported that breaks support left, right and center. This adds lots of work for the maintainers.
I (for one) have given up on playing catchup and just use my own tree, much less grief and tooth grinding that way, still have the scars from almost 10 years ago as maintainer of “stuff” for over a decade :)
