Once upon a time I would have tried, but my few kernel skills died after 
I stopped working with VMS many moons ago :-{

A simple server for the family. I've been using a pi4, which while 
highly reliable (uptime 454 days and then only stopped because power 
went off) is now too slow for a website I've been creating.

OK. I've actually started porting to rpi os. But I /really/ don't like 
the linux firewall. And a number of protection systems I've created over 
the years don't port very easily.
