Pi 4b questions, part 1

Hi

I recently got a Pi 4b, hoping that it would have fewer issues than the 
5. The overall picture is not great, some things better, some worse. 
Here is the first.

Only booting from USB2 seems to work. Are there any ways to get USB2 or 
microSD to work?
