That does not surprise me at all. Upstream made separate U-Boot versions, with the RPi3 being long before RPi4B's existed. The (temporarily?) more generic one came after both the RPi3B and RPi4B U-Boot's had existed for some time. (I do not know how much to blame U-Boot vs. FreeBSD vs. a mix of both for the current status.) I would not expect a RPi3B U-Boot to well handle everything about a RPi4B, both as an upstream issue and as a FreeBSD ports issue. === Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com
