The EDK2 based UEFI/ACPI had not been updated in something like 5 years. The status is (as of about 3 weeks ago) official: QUOTE PROJECT DISCONTINUED This EDK-2/ACPI UEFI firmware project is no longer maintained. The project has been discontinued due to friction in the ACPI standardization process. Modern U-Boot now ships with the required facilities for booting a generic Linux distribution designed for UEFI (using Device-Tree). For instructions on installing Ubuntu and other UEFI-compatible operating systems on the LX2160A using modern U-Boot, please refer to the Official SolidRun LX2160A Software Page.
