hi!

i would like to install oracle 10.
but after the 'available product components', the installer hangs, 100%
cpu load over two java processes.

command:
PATH=/usr/local/jdk1.4.2/bin:$PATH \
JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.4.2 \
DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0 \
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/compat/linux/usr/X11R6/lib \
/cdrom/install/runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs

i don't know, if the first 2 lines are interpreted.

kernel error:
linux: pid 5689 (java): ioctl fd=22, cmd=0x8933 ('\M^I',51) is not
implemented

os:
freebsd 5.3-release
custom kernel, but not yet configured as oracle kernel.

packages:
jdk-1.4.2p7
linux-XFree86-libs-4.3.99.902_2
linux-atk-1.2.0_2
linux-expat-1.95.5_2
linux-fontconfig-2.1_2
linux-glib2-2.2.1_2
linux-gtk2-2.2.1_3
linux-jpeg-6b.15_3
linux-pango-1.2.1_2
linux-png-1.2.7_5
linux-sun-jdk-1.3.1.14_1
linux-tiff-3.6.1_1
linux_base-rh-9
linux_devtools-8.0_3

is redhat 9 not yet stable? is linux_base or another base package
better?

greets

Andreas Bachmann
