With 12GB or RAM, if FreeBSD + PostgreSQL can use all that, your entire database is possibly in memory. If you're only reading and not writing a lot, disks are important, but not that important. - -- Live long and prosper, Berend de Boer (PGP public key: http://www.pobox.com/~berend/berend-public-key.txt) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Processed by Mailcrypt 3.5.8 <http://mailcrypt.sourceforge.net/> iD8DBQFEe2oAIyuuaiRyjTYRAu5qAJ9qMmePI/BkJNr8vZ2oNFIN2wmRAQCcDTpU rN1BSk7tK402DXd2IsH3Fj4= =mZSY -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-database To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[email protected]"
