I just submitted a comment on an unrelated bug, and a similar (but different)
thing happened. To be clear, it also happens to me a lot, but I had forgotten
about it while I was originally posting this bug report. So:

After clicking to submit a comment, it often does the bot check and then goes
to a page saying I "apparently didn't select a bug to comment on". Like in the
"submit a bug/you didn't pick the product" issue that I mentioned earlier, I
can eventually make it work just by hitting my browser's "back" button and then
simply selecting "Submit" again on the already-filled-out form.

In both cases that back/submit often takes several tries to finally work, but
it eventually does.
