I've applied commit b3f46656393f on top of my 13.5 sources, rebuilt, reload=
ed
the module, remounted the filesystem, and can confirm it fixed the zeroing-=
out
bug per Rajeev's reproducer.

I think we should MFC this one as it reliably causes silent data corruption
(unlike other miscellaneous fixes) which is very bad for a public image of =
any
OS, regardless of the support cycles.
