The patch doesn't quite apply cleaning against 15-STABLE, but it's a trivial
fix to align the first chunk. 

It's bizarre that this has remained unfixed for more than 15 years. It'd be
helpful if we had committer who could specify what needs to be done to get this
in. I am  happy to test this on 15-STABLE if that would help.
