Cinnamon reuses a lot of gnome parts.
Unfortunately unlike KDE (sysutils/plasma6-polkit-kde-agent-1) or MATE
(sysutils/mate-polkit) it doesn't have its own PolicyKit Authentication Agent.

Right now without this file I'm trying to add nothing is using actually this
agent. It's never run.

And it seems gnome has stopped using this as well. See debian package

But even this info outdated as other listed DEs getting their own agent
implementation. Except for the Cinnamon.

Also look at https://www.freshports.org/sysutils/polkit-gnome/ "This port is
required by:" and expand it. You'll see that gnome was using it back in days
and only Cinnamon is left as a consumer.
So I'm pretty much sure we won't break anything.
